Question for mbothner - '64 Topps coins

Mike (or anyone else who might know)
I have a shoe box full of high grade 64 Topps coins that look just out of packs (selling them for an elderly woman)
Looks like I need to get some graded
Have nice Clementes, Aarons, Mantle right hand and real nice Mantle #120
plus lots of other stars, a Koufax, etc

What type of holder do you send them to PSA in?
Besides centering and marks on the rim, what other things should I look for condition-wise?
Any commons that I should look to pull out and grade?

Thanks in advance

  • PSA looks for the following things when grading coins: 1. Is the picture centered with no printing flaws like dots or lines..
    2. Is there any wear/specks/minor dings on the front rim.
    3. Any wear on the back or centering/printing issues.
I send my coins in card saver 1's.. one coin per saver....
Check the pop report to see what coins have low pops in psa 9 and 10....

    Best of luck!
