Looking for racing cards help

I was looking through some boxes today and found this set. I have scanned an example of the cards. They seemed to have come together in a big sheet as a bunch of them are still attached. From the back it says its from a 1982 Avalon Hill game. Can anyone tell me any more about it and if there is any type of demand for this item or if people even grade it. Thank-you for any help you can provide

Jim

You are correct they are from the Avalon Hill board game. I think the first year was 1979. They should be numbered they way they finished in the Indy 500 that year. They are rare but they don't go for much money. I was looking for the 1980 set since Tim Richmond (NASCAR) was in the set. Found an unopened 1980 game for 30 something. I didn't see any Avalon Hill cards at the NARM show in Indy this year. Hope that helps.

Thank-you for your help. AAfter I posted this i was going through my buying notebook and found that I had bought these from Avalon Hill in 1983 but it appears that it was just the card set and not any othe rparts of a game. They must have sold new cards each year for people that already had the game part.
