29 year old man behind the "I have gold to sell" attempted robberies and assualts in Nebra

I saw this article in the Omaha paper tonight LINK and was suprised that the alledged, 29 year old perp died in jail.
I know most of the coin people mentioned in the article and have to say, that I am continually amazed at how normal, rational people can make some of the dumbest, irrational decisions if they think they can make a buck under the table.
Dave Harper even did one of his "Class of '63" editorials about the robberies..."Should we outlaw parking lots too?" in which he tries to understand how anyone could or would agree to meet a total stranger in a parking lot with $27,000 cash in a paper bag. The $27,000 was the only theft, but a number of people got pepper sprayed along the way.
