  • After a pretty tough 2-5 start of the season, The Meteorites kicked in gear to finish the season 8-6 and barely make the playoff.

This was a very close league with half the teams at 8-6 or 7-7.

Great season everyone...now onto the playoffs!

    Clear Skies,

Any chance that if we do it again next year that we could do six teams in the playoffs of the fourteen with the top two seeds getting a first round bye? With fourteen teams, that is playing every team just once and the difference between the fourth, fifth, and sixth place teams is very thin. I do not think that a top two seed should have to win three games to win the Super Bowl. The season would wrap up on the 16th week and avoid the dreaded 17th. Just a thought although I still would not be in the playoffs with my suggestion!!!! Drat!

Matthew, that sounds like a good suggestion to me. Keeps more people involved. By the way, I feel a little better that even if you held on to beat me a couple of weeks ago, you still would have missed out on the playoffs in the end. Believe me, I felt your pain. Even though I ended up in first, I lost 3 of my 4 games by 2 points and the other one by 7. Definitely a very competitive league this year.

Mark, looking forward to our matchup next week. If my game with Matt (Hammered) is any indication, it will be another buzzer beater.

It was a great season and VERY competitive. For sure next year we will increase the playoffs. I think the more people you have involved at the end the better.

Good luck to all those left!

Looks like our top two teams will battle it out for the top prize!

Good luck to all of those still in the hunt for cash!

  • Looks like I will squeeze into a 3rd place finish this year. Not bad considering my terrible season start.

Thank you Matthew for putting the league together.

Thank you Percy Harvin and Tom Brady for being strong all year.

Screw you Chris Johnson for wasting my first round pick. image

Congradulations to the winner and other finalists. image

I'd first like to thank Mathew for running the Football League this year!!! image

Another great game between me and Matt (Hammered). You were right, it did come down to Monday night.

I'd also like to congratulate Matt, Mark, and Michael for placing as well. I'm glad I didn't go up against you this week Mark. image

Thanks to Fred Jackson for getting off to a great start this year, my MVP Drew Brees for bailing me out in spite of my questionable starting lineup choices during the year, and Victor Cruz for that sick TD run which helped me hold off Matt for the championship.

Looking forward to a more relaxing Week 17 without driving the wife crazy.

Now what to use the winnings on? image

Yeah, I chose the wrong week to score big. The funny part about the week we played, most of my players that usually do good, didn't, and the slackers did good. I think I made my second worst scoring of the season....image

I'd be interested in dethroning Mike if a spot opens up and I can make draft.

I didn't make last year's draft and that didn't hold me back. BTW, there will be no dethroning here.

To the commish: any way we can do 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex
Instead of 2 RB, 3 WR?

To all of those returning teams...

If you did not get the email invite I sent out please PM me with your email address and I will get it out to you.

Also, I like the idea of the flex instead of the 3 WRs.

I agree with Matt, having a flex instead of the third WR is a better option. Would we do a WR/RB or open it up to a TE too?

I'd prefer WR/TE option to keep it more true to real football than a flex with 3 RBs, but that is just me.....
