    Au has been slow and steady when compared to the rest of the commodities in that table. The only year it was the absolute top performer was in the crisis plagued year of 2008. Very telling story.

    Too bad data for rare earths (lanthanides) wasn't included---these are becoming increasingly important in the manufacture of high-tech alloys.

    Lead looks pretty dang good.

    Primers are also getting expensive.
