Random Box Break: 92-93 Fleer Ultra Series II Basketball

Won an auction off eBay for a box of these for $16.99 shipped. Opened a couple boxes last week of these and those boxes each had 2 or 3 of each major rookie and were well mixed.

Well this box is missing half the RCs from Series II but had up to 7 of some individual RCs. I am wondering what this box would have been worth back during the first 6 months it came out.

6 Shaqs, 6 Laettners, 2 Mournings and the RC inserts of Shaq, Mourning and Miner(#5,6,7 of 10). Had no Latrell or regular Minors RCs in the box. Had a bunch of packs with doubles of cards, the 6 Laettners for example came out of 3 packs total 2 to a pack. Pulled 3 Shaqs out of the first 5 packs also which was interesting. A few really sharp Shaqs too but I don't think anything is really worth grading in this set is it?

I collect Mourning RCs in PSA 10 and they usually go for $10-25. The Shaq doesn't go for much more since this isn't one of his better RCs. Looked like a fun box break, though.

Are there any Jordans in this set? Those are usually worth grading if you've got a 50+% chance at PSA 10.

Only Jordan in Series II is the Dunk subset Jordan and I got 1 of him.

Picture is not of mine just found it via Google to show you which one is in this set.

Not sure if this one is worth much in PSA 10. Was a fun break. Or more like a WTF break at seeing every other pack having doubles of cards. The worst pack out of the box had 5 checklists in it, 3 of the same and 2 of the same.
  • When that was out, I think packs were a few dollars each because of the rookies. Pack prices exploded when Shaq hit the market. I remember prices doubling quickly on packs and seemingly never coming back down for awhile. Looking back, what a waste paying that much $$ for base cards.
