Al Hrabosky

I think I remember someone here being a big Hrabosky fan- It was even mentioned in their signline. If this is you- please contact me. I have some super cool pop 1s that were part of some team sets that I bought just to get the Murphys and Horners.

Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

I remember reading back when Hrabosky signed a contract for Turner & the Braves (mid to late 80's) that he was guaranteed yearly payments
through 2011 or something like that. Does anyone know if the payments continued or did they buy him out long ago?

On a somewhat but not really note, Brian Wilson ain't got squat on Al.

    Just sayin..
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

Remember him well. Saw him pitch against the Angels in around 77-78. He was quite a show to see.

Funny, I was just telling my 8 year old all about the mad Hungarian just last night. I gave him a bunch of 70's cards to jump start his collection and we ran across a Hrabosky so I had to tell him about his antics. One of the great characters of the game!
