Bigger question about scanning PSA slabs 2X2, etc. et al.

Hi,
I have a complete set all PSA certified including the decoder.
A FEW QUESTIONS BEFORE IT GOES OFF ON JULY 13 AT 9PM EDT:
1) Is the decoder counted in the average grade?
2) I have a card that's a NM 7 (MC). How is that averaged in? (The average of the set is 7.18).
3) I scanned every card front and back. Is that overkill, or are just the fronts OK?
4) I am putting in the size of the four-card scan. I would like input on the size.
Any help would be appreciated.
