Oh Crap, more ebay changes - Fall updates! Ugh!

Your thoughts on these updates?!?
Fall Seller Update delivers more buyers and new seller protection--with little need for change on your part
As we head into the holiday season, eBay is making unprecedented investments to bring you more buyers and ensure their expectations are met head-on. The second and final seller update for 2011 provides new ways for you to maximize your sales and profitability--without the need for significant changes to your listings or business practices.
25 EXTRA characters in your title to draw more buyers to your listings!
In early September, you'll have nearly 50% more space in your listing titles--25 additional characters--to include more keywords and descriptors to get your listings in front of more interested buyers.
That's good, but also allows more keyword spamming. Overall this extra space could eliminate the need of "subtitles".
New protection for your performance rating
We know you want to do the right thing for your customers--that's why eBay always encourages buyers to contact the seller before filing a Buyer Protection case. Starting in August, if the buyer doesn't contact you before opening a Buyer Protection case and you act quickly to resolve it, the case won't be included in your performance rating.
That'll help the sellers maintain their "discount" a bit better.
Keeping buyers on eBay
Buyers should be able to find everything they need to complete a purchase right in the listing--and if necessary, contact the seller right from eBay. Starting in October, sellers will not be able to submit a new listing or re-listing if the description includes an email address or link that doesn't help buyers transact safely and efficiently on eBay.
One or more of your listings may have email addresses or non-compliant links, so be sure to start updating these listings and listing templates now.
I had listed my email in the description since the beginning of time because I didn't scan backs of cards or multiple angles on other things (this is when extra pics cost $). I do understand the policy, but @(*^$&* this will eliminate outside transactions.
Meaningful return policy
Today's online buyers expect to have a reasonable timeframe for returns, and the option of getting money back. Starting in August you can specify "Money back or exchange" as a refund option. Early next year, the 3- and 7-day return options will no longer be available and a cash refund option will be required for all returns. As always, sellers may specify an "all sales final" policy. Give yourself a competitive edge for the holidays--start offering longer timeframes and cash-back options now.
Wow no 3 or 7 day return policy...holy

but I'd like to see a seller get away with it
I love the extra space in the title. This will save me $0.50 when I want to add something to my title (even though the subtitles were never included in searches).
I like how they add more responsibility to the buyer by making them contact the seller before filing a claim. So many times I see sellers get burned by this. Ebay actually concerned about the seller? *gasp*
I like the email/link rule. In all honesty, people SHOULD be forced to keep all ebay sales ON ebay. It's only fair, ebay is the one who is supplying the format, why not give credit where credit is due?
The return policy doesn't effect me. I offer no refunds/exchanges, and have never had a problem (not yet anyway, knock on wood).

LOL it's 25 extra characters, not 75..

IOW, if the seller rolls over for the buyer's extortion SCAMS without
EBAY having to help with the theft, EBAY will not "hold it against" the
defrauded seller.

Once you make ONE sale to the buyer, he is EZ to snake to an alt
venue. Just include coupons/flyers with that first order AND send
the buyer an email or a postcard inviting him to stop by your alt
venue. (Which venue is irrelevant; just pick one with no listing fees
and/or no FVFs.)

Rather It's been the whole process. You have given me my own sub store(Miconelegacy), answer and spend the time on some of my 3 year old rookie questions, track all my sales, and pay so quickly.
I really appreciate you helping me, because if I had to list, track, ship, etc myself all the time, I wouldn't be able to spend as much time on my financial services business/ position.
For those of you who haven't used Rick before, I strongly recommend Probstein123's services.
I really like the extra characters considering half or so of the cards you sell for me are modern. Modern cards that are graded, are a sub set, have a serial number, are Auto's, Game Used, etc, will greatly benefit from this change.
Hope you guys are enjoying the All Star Game. Jeter is hanging at the beach in Fla. That ain't right!! 3,000 hit chump!! Incredible feat the other day, and then Cano last night... Those are some serious Legendary moments. Really glad to have watched them. The both are movie like stories and will be a great part of Baseball History.
Take care,

exactly. do just that, i have an extensive email list of every customer over the past few years, been slowly and methodically selling off ebay, direct sales either check, money order or direct paypal (yeah they get a little cut but so what) save me thousands in fees last year.
