Michael Kittle Rare Coins --- 1908-S Indian Head Cent Grading Set --- No. 1 1909 Mint Set --- Kittlecoins on Facebook --- Long Beach Table 700
There are plenty of Morgans and they go for anywhere from $200. to $400. in about that grade. Very few Peace dollar in comparison.

$230 was it.

Maybe it's just me, but $230 + BP + shipping makes it around $275 and that doesn't exactly sound too cheap for an MS64 Peace Dollar... but given the price that butt ugly Grant commem problem coin doily sold for at Heritage yesterday, maybe this one was a steal?

Of course, the promotional threads aren't keeping the costs down.
The name is LEE!
It's just a shame it wasn't one of the ultra rare doily holders autographed by Jessica Lynch or Frank Gasparro, I hear those are now bringing $2 MIL or more at Christy's auctions in Europe.

There wasn't one. Just this recent item on Heritage. MS64 Grant in a doily for $250 with premium LOT #10178
Search for a thread with this title.
Still some steals at Heritage!

From "the thread".
The OP here is newbe in one post and an expert in another.
Realone, I a confused by this too.
The Grant was one worst eye appeal coins for a PCGS coin I have even seen.
I would not be shocked to learn PCGS bought the coin to take off the market. >>
Well it sold for $632 so there was some meat on the bone wasnt there?

Yes. A "noooobieee" when it comes to the reasoning and validity of collecting common as dirt struck-by-the-millions-and-hoarded-in-bank-vault Morgans with a passion yet disssssing others who collect Doilys.
Yes. A seasoned veteran expert when it comes to... well.
There is no evidence I am really any of the above.
Posted in the other thread in much more detail, but I am now regretting the fact I actually had a life and was off the computer for 9 days. I could have been here and had some real fun with the Doily collecting, bashing, defending, and (ahem) self-promoting.
I apparently lost out on a couple of Doilies that someone else (for whatever ludicrous reason) found interesting. I may have to do more of that to see what would happen in the Doily market without my hype!
Ugh. But, I saw a bear cross the road just 4 miles outside of Provo, UT as I was heading up Spanish Fork Canyon last week on the way to Gunny. First bear spotting in Utah in 50 years although I've lived in the mountains waaaaaaaaay too much. Remember that line from Jaws when Roy Scheider tells 'Quint' "You're gonna need a bigger boat!"? Well, I'm gonna need a bigger gun! That sucker crossed 4 lanes of highway in 3 long leaps.
Have a good night!
