What is the typical mark up over spot on a 1 gr. gold bar?

If melt is say $50 for a 1 gr. gold bar, what would you expect to see them marked at.

Credit, Pamp, Sunshine, Perth, Istanbul God Refinery, etc. Any difference?

    Full-bore retail? $69-70?

Crdit and Pamp seem to draw the highest premium (IMO), Istanbul the lowest.

I agree with both the above posts.
Though the 1g Perth doesn't show up often for sale, often is the Oriana type. I am not sure if they make the kangaroo one.
Engelhard too carries a big premium, not to mention JM.

It depends on wether it comes sealed from a reputable refiner or just some banged up gram from a little known maker.

I for one will usually pay melt plus 10$ for any engelhards sealed with its assay card.

I hate to make a new thread so I'll ask here first.

I am looking for a johnson matthey gold 1 gram bar myself and was wondering if anyone in the forum has one that they would be willing to part with.

It doesn't have to be sealed...

    Thanks

It's all about what the people want...

I bought 2 recently for $51 dollars each, one an Englelhard and one a Pamp, not sure what spot was that day though. It was about 3 weeks ago.

You did good. In the last few months I saw only a few going for under $60/$65 on eBay.
