At long last... MY HOLY GRAIL ARRIVES!

I've wanted this card since I pulled a reprint of it out of an '89 Bowman pack. 22 years later, I'm able to call myself the owner of this fine specimen. Thanks to CU member dioworld for the deal. Also, I apologize for the phone pic, as it's all I've got here at work.

Thanks guys! I went back and forth on the '52 Topps Mantle and this one, but my childhood nostalgia won out. It took me awhile to find one, as I wanted it to be:

    1. Graded (by one of the big 3)
    2. Free of major print lines (this issue was plauged with them)
    3. Free of creases through Mantle's name or face
    4. Not a borderline miscut (centering is tough on this card)

I feel really lucky to have found such a nice one, as I figured I'd end up getting a PSA 2 or so.

I think so too. I really love the '53 Topps and used to own one, but the '51 has a bit more historical significance- even if the card isn't quite as cool.
