AN ACT
To authorize the coinage of 50-cent pieces in commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary of Cincinnati, Ohio, as a center of music, and its contribution to the art of music for the past fifty years.
One of the leading examples of why early commemoratives were laid to rest by Congressional Act.
Designed by Miss Constance Ortmayer. Number coined – P 5,005, D 5,005, SF 5,006.
Low mintage numbers which make it an expensive example to add to a set but not difficult to find in 65 and above.

I watch them weekly go for $500+ on ebay - even cleaned junkers get at least $150! You could buy a really nice slabbed example of plenty of other designs for that money.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

Here you go.
It would appear that Miss Ortmeyer was also underway designing what should have been the York half dollar, but misheard "York" and instead started designing a Yorick half dollar. It being 1936, she didn't give the absurdity of that theme a second thought.
