'52 mantle $455 - hmm, the guy has sold a bunch of reprints.. did he pass this one off as real?

and this.. 65 namath $909 seems real low, how come? is this market plagued with fakes/paranoia too?

ungraded pretty much means reprint/counterfeit for those 2 cards

The Namath looks real, but $909 isn't too low for it. If it grades out at a '6' that is a fair price, and if it grades out at a 5', then the buyer got burned. I doubt the card '7's.

PS - The Mantle rookie is more than likely a fake. The buyer got scammed on that one!

are reprints marked as reprints? i'm new/stupid i guess i could go compare pics...........

That Mantle is clearly a fake. If you go and look at past feedback and take a look at the listings, they ALL have the same exact centering as the one that went for $455.

If you've sold even one reprint card, there is no way I am going to buy the same "real" card from you.

As for the Namath, I'd say that card is legit. There might be some wax stains in the upper left corner and some near the football he's holding, so it would probably be a 7, tops.

i'd say there's a lot of reassurance on Namath if you check the recent history of the seller.....quite the run of raw vintage.

The Namath is one of the FEW cards that seller has been pushing that has went cheap! Maybe the economy, maybe the fear of fakes, I don't know. That one member said the card would '7'. I don't think so. If it DOES '7', then the bidder struck gold. I am betting there is a corner ding that won't show up on the scan, and I can clearly see that the centering is not '7' material.
