Seriously PSA... today this has to happen?!?!?!

Seriously on edge... USPS Lady just left after I signed for my goodies back from Newport Beach... now I want to scream!!!

On edge, because after roughly 18 years of being a can-a-day dipper... I've decided to quit cold turkey. So far... I haven't slipped up yet... but this is way tougher than I thought it would be! And well, I'm a little cranky... and then this happens.

I send in my 6 card free submission for my membership renewal...

It doesn't say you can't include thicker/memorabilia, like is often the case on specials and what not. I can't recall what the exclusions where on the voucher... I believe it was just tall boys and something else... but not thicker/memorabilia cards...

So I send it my submission... 3 regular cards... and 3 thick/memorabilia cards...

Get the cards back today...

All six friggin cards in god-awful-ugly-as-sin-impossible-to-conveniently-store pack holders imageimageimage

I can deal with those holders for the very, very, very few thick cards I want/need graded... because, well, that's just what you have to deal with collecting PSA graded cards...

But for my regular cards... Seriously PSA???

That just pisses me off... and it damn well better qualify as "mech error", because I sure as hell don't feel like paying them another cent to fix their mistake.

    Which six cards were they?

They slabbed regular sized cards in the large thick wax pack slabs? Are you serious? Scan a couple so we can see why they thought this was the best holder for your cards.
    STAY HEALTHY!

Don't tease the poor guy. His day is bad enough as it is.

I've had the same card slabbed in different holders. They wouldn't fix it when I asked.

Good luck with quitting dip. Cold turkey 7 years ago for me.

Is that a thicker card or something? What would possess them to do something like that?

LOL that's hilarious but sorry that happened to you epatmythes. Reminds me of this one on ebay.....a 56 Topps Skowron in a super sized holder...

... That's hilarious... BTW, I quit cold turkey 6 yrs. ago and haven't had a dip since. Had been dipping for about 14 yrs.

Add this to the list of annoying things that PSA needs to change. The retarded oversize holder for regular sized cards.....put that one right next to charging YOU shipping and handling for sending in mechanical errors.

If the 'others' f-ed up as high of a percent of holders, they would be out of business.
  • jeffcbayjeffcbay Posts: 8,950 ✭✭✭✭
percentage? I'm willing to bet PSA has the lowest percentage of screw ups.

I would take that bet any day of the week, and I imagine most everyone here would as well.

I look forward to calling CS on Tuesday to get resolved. Still fumed, but not as bad as earlier.

To address other inquiries... Kodiak. 100% brand loyal for the past 16-17 years, before that it was a little bit of everything!

In 20 minutes, I will have successfully survived the first 24 hours dip free. My god, it feels like it's been at least 3 times that long image

You'll live and I'm sure PSA will correct the issue.

17 years of dipping The Bear; man, I have to hand it to you. I don't know anyone who hanged in there that long with that stuff. That Kodiak cut is just so tough on your gums that everyone I knew who pinched The Bear in their 20's eventually gave in to the gum pain and switched to Skoal.

Best of luck with the quitting- your gums will certainly thank you!

That's because everyone you know is a Spartan graduate or from the Ypsi-Arbor area Boo. The yoopers put Kodiak in their cereal. Different breed my man. Different breed.

I think some here are confusing pct, with total amount.

    Good for you.
