FEEBAY is screwing around with the vertical search....LEAVE IT ALONE!

Feebay can't leave enough alone...got to mess with the search and they are making it horizontal vs. the old vertical....unless I am missing something in advanced search. If I did anything with my life, I would love to offer an alternative and put them out of business...arrogant!! Pigpal TOO!!!! chaz

I'm just wondering why someone who detests a company as much as chaz does ebay/paypal is using said company in the first place...

Take a hike buddy. Read what I said. If there was an alternative, I would certainly use it. Right now FEEBAY is the only MONOPOLY in town. chaz

I say we all chip in, buy 51% of ebay stock, and then we can run it the way we like.

Yes it does. Whether there's anyone there to hear it is irrelevant.

Sounds like a lot of work. Until then you can simply rotate your monitor 45 degrees and deal with it.

Nobody is likely to build a "replacement."

Tho, if GOOG continues to strengthen its "partnering" with eCrater,
it is conceivable that GOOG could acquire eCrater. (eCrater is now
a primary google-checkout partner AND has just rolled-out a new
AdSense scheme; the sellers also get 100% of the listing-page AS
    revenues, for now.)

As has been discussed here many times, it is simply not profitable
to start an online sales venue as a public company. Even EBAY would
have been long gone, IF not for its PP and ad revenues, and its
    other investments.

IF it was easy, GOOG and MSFT would have done it long ago.

    ..............

EBAY still works very well, but their policies are oppressive and
grossly "unfair" to the sellers that built the venue. As their traffic
    drops and their fees rise, more and more sellers will drift away;
not all will be easily replaced AND a potential vulnerability could
be created. That circumstance is not yet close at hand.

Because payment processing is EBAY's only real hope for long
term survival, any assault on that element should be watched
    closely and supported.

EBAY's "Amazonization" scheme will ultimately fail, but not any
time soon. Meanwhile, the only thing sellers can do is be cautious
on EBAY and continue to expand to alt-venues and their own
    sites.

Worrying about the circumstance is fruitless AND counterproductive.
Just list and deal prudently and continue to make as much money
    as you can.

What doesn't cost too much money these days? I agree that they charge too much, but look at your selling audience. I bet if you owned a store or did shows on the weekend the profit margin would be just as close.
