Last night was like any other, going through my late father's coin collection, and i was delighted to see a 1805 bust quarter tucked away nicely. What is roughly the value of that coin? Say if its condition is very fine.

I dont believe it has been cleaned, thats looking through my somewhat amateur eyes though. What are some obvious signs I can look for to tell if it has been or not?

Shiny or dull with no contrast, scratches over the entire coin, etc.
Please.

Your coin appears to be a B-4 variety, based on the close spacing between star 7 and the L in LIBERTY, and as others have noted, the grade appears to be Good-4 or 6, possibly VG depending on the reverse. (got a picture of the back?)
Here is an attribution guide to 1805 quarters.

Oh and i'll post a picture of the back a.s.a.p, that'll bring the VF grade home
