Summer Doldrums - Post Some Vibrant Pictures or Something!

Wow, almost no posts. No controversies? Salacious gossip?

Vicky-George VI action? NOT!
Ebay funnies? NOT!

About the only thing to report on from here is that the Vicky 1853 3d sold by Heritage was almost certainly Maundy - wonder if ATS will back up their MS64 grade and cert?

Speaking of which, there seem to be a number of ESC rated "Colonial Use Only" currency dates, and some unreported showing up for sale in various venues that have nearly universally appeared Maundy IMHO.

Here's a couple of questions (probable Rob queries):
- what is the finest specimen of 1854 florin (my favorite date!) anybody has seen?
- ditto 1850 shilling ?
- ditto 1848 plus overdates 6d ? Did anybody on these boards buy the Spink specimen on sale in SNC last year?

Well, summer best to all!

Scraping, stripping, painting. Pulling, snipping, spraying, gardening. Yup. Too much work and not enough of the indentured servants(kids) to do all the work.

Not really an eBay funny, but with this Canada post strike to keep my shipping turnaround times I ate a $90 shipping difference for shipping a coin to china via UPS.
