It was said, early on in his life, that he'd never be a successful actor because he lost one eye to cancer. Motivation comes in many forms.

You will never be a real coin collector, might as well drop it.

Neat guy. I wonder, did he collect coins? I think he would be the person to continue asking questions about them even after making a purchase. image

Pete Falk comes from my home town, Ossining NY. My father went to HS with him.

Pete was the President of his class 3 of the 4 years, his Jr. year he was VP.

He was also voted most likely to succeed his senior year (1945) He was at the 50th reunion back in 95 or 96.
The class of 44,45,46 and 47 celebrated together.

About 6 years ago he came back home for the last time when a portion of the street he grew up on was re named Pete Falk Way.

    Good for you.

So how come in every Columbo show the background music always included at least a few notes from the "This Old Man...." song?

    "Columbo" was a great show.

Falk was also terrific in a Wim Wenders film, "Wings of Desire". Well worth watching.

Hewo, I'm Weutenant Cawumbow, do you mind if I ask you just a few more questions?

Great character, great show. I sometimes thought the perps were glad to get caught just to get him off their backs.
