So last night I saw a lil SLQ that whispered to me...
As it had a lot of charm strike wise and just didn't look like it's ever really seen the inside of someone's pocket, which is how I like my AU58's to look.
Not a full head, but compared to the average struck NGC MS66 example below I'd always chose a lower graded well struck example.

I agree with you on this one! The AU58 coin is a much better strike. The SLQ's that look like someone has taken a chisel the side of Liberty's face are unappealing in my book. Yours has a nice head, maybe not full, but darn close!
I'd take the AU coin over the '66 coin in this example!

The near complete lack of chainmail breast armor is just uber attractive at superb gem level!

I can't live with one if it isn't at least close to FH, nice pickup!!
I love the SLQ, but I only have 10, all in PCGS plastic and '64s with one 65. Seven are FH... these are tough to find in collector grades and nice eye appeal.
Your three pictured are nice coins. I like the full-strike examples better.

Yes this is a tough series in general and even tougher if your strike conscious.
If you have 10 SLQ's that your happy with on all levels your doing very well!
...actually, the rivets are what makes me love it. compare to the alleged 66.

Thanks MFH as I'm now feeling your almost FH strategy is the way to go on this series if the rest is struck up nicely.
As so many FH's may have the head details but are missing other more visual centralized striking details.
