My grandfather's 2-1/2 Guilder pocket piece

My father, a Missouri farm boy, traveled Europe while in the Army in the mid-1950's. When he passed through the Netherlands, he picked up this 1930 2-1/2 Guilder and brought it back to his father, who had never traveled more than a couple hundred miles from his home in Hornersville, Missouri.
My grandfather carried it around in his pocket until he died in 1967 at the age of 78, by which time it had been worn slick. My father got it back at his funeral, and I have since received the coin from him.

Since my father will be 78 on July 4th of this year, I purchased this 1930 NETHERLANDS 2-1/2 Guilder in order to give to him on his birthday. I don't know if I overpaid, but $30 seemed reasonable enough.
