Need help identifying a "Florin One Tenth of a Pound"

This has the date worn off, but looks like the 1848 Gr Britain Florin depicted on the NGC World Coin website, though that one says composition is gold, whereas this is most definitely silver

    One Tenth of a Pound is indeed a Florin , they were never made of gold however. Is it possible the date is actually in latin numerals on the obverse rather than absent ?

    That would be a silver florin, likely 1849 as the 1848s are all patterns of slightly different types that are quite scarce.
