Hmm. That seems a trifle unfair to owners of the 2011 coin, but... a boon to owners of the prior year issues, who will now have more new collectors chasing after the prior dates in the series. (Talking 1 oz. silver 10Y pieces here.)

This is probably the start of a new trend-- mintages in silver Pandas escalating to the millions (+ millions of counterfeits) in the coming years, just like the ASE.
Not that it matters since it's just bullion, right?
I bought a number of older Pandas, some of which there were only 6,000 minted. It floored me to hear of the 3 million minted this year. Weren't there 600,000 1oz. silver Pandas minted last year?

I do need to get one of these coins yet for my collection.
