Is this 1880-CC Morgan genuine?

I've been going through a bunch of Peace & Morgans of my dads the past few weeks trying to attribute any VAMs. Something about the 1880-CC pictured below didn't look right. I don't know this series that well so I could be wrong but thought I should get some other opinions. I can't seem to find my scales at the moment so I can't weigh it.

Not speaking as a Morgan expert, but I have looked at a number of fake US coins, and your excellent photos don't show anything that would make me believe it's anything other than US mint made. I'll leave it to others as far as the mintmark analysis, but it does not look added to me, either.

The date is what made me think the coin's authenticity may be questionable. The 1 of the date looks a little different from the other 1880 dated coins I've examined. Again, I'm by no means an expert in this series so I'll wait to hear from those that are.

example. You can see the 7 under the first 8 even in this worn example. Nice and real!

Thanks everyone! I see the remnants of the 7 now that you mentioned it.

This coin is from an album set my dad put together about 5-6 years ago. All the coins were purchased raw off Ebay which was another reason I questioned the authenticity. I'm glad it turned out to be genuine, I'd hate to have to tell him he had a counterfeit!
