An Uncoventional Post for the BST...

Hi Everyone,
This is surely an unconventional post for the BST and I am sure that I will see some flaming and bashing, but please, hear me out.
I am on my summer vacation after finishing my first year of college. Prior to the summer, I was offered a pretty prestigious opportunity to intern with a professional hockey organization, which I quickly accepted. I even accepted the internship with the understanding that the position was unpaid, and that I would not be receiving college credit. My main prerogative was to learn from the experience and try to make some connections.
It is now 4 weeks into my internship, and myself, and 12 other interns, have spent 8 hours a day for the past 4 weeks making cold calls in the attic of the decrepit arena. Although with much disgust, it seems as if all of the interns, who range in age from 18 (myself) to a 32 year old law school grad, will have to stick out our unfortunate experience for the summer.
Now to the object of my post. For any of you who have ever attended a college away from home, you know how much of a toll it can take on your finances. Being that I have absolutely no income coming in and the hours of my internship (9-5) prevent me from taking a coventional job, I am making this post.
Basically, I am offering my services as a Numismatist. I will write, research, create, design. I have a pretty extensive background in graphic design and Photoshop. Basically anything involving Numismatics that you need done, that I can do over the internet and on a computer.
Basically anything that can be done over the internet! Even if you need something NON NUMISMATIC based done, I can do it! I can make website banners, logos, images. I can make advertisements. I can even advertise your business for you and Create an ONLINE Prescence for your business! I have vast knowledge in social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, Craigslist, etc. I can set your business up with a complete online prescence to stay in touch with customers! I have done so with the Numismatic Hub and other non Numismatic websites and businesses.
As far as my experience and resume go!
-As many of you may know, I am the owner of the Numismatic Hub. Due to my lack of income, I cannot afford the hosting of my re-designed site, but here is the link to the older, less appealing site. All content was written and gathered by myself. Numismatic Hub
I am a published author! In this past issue of the ANA magazine, The Numismatist, I had a 5 page spread, dedicated to my article on the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition. If you have the issue, you can see my bio and picture on one of the author pages.
I've done this before. I wrote numerous articles and blurbs for a very prestigious forum member.
I know this kind of post may be frowned upon, but I am technically selling my services.
Please PM me with any inquiry.

Life is too short to be a dope!
Never, ever give someone your time and skills for "the experience". All you have become this summer is a 'prestigious' slave, which in English means a "Sucker"
Quit right now, slink back home and get a job waiting tables. Even if it means selling snow cones, you'll get paid, you might salvage back some self-respect, and you might even a get date out of the deal.
Read the quote below!
I fail to see how anyone could NOT be paid, NOT be getting credit for the internship, and still accept being stuck in an attic making cold calls.
You are LOSING out on real experiences that could help you, or making money to help your college.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Secondly have you considered selling advertising blocks on your site to cover all the expenses to keep it afloat
Edited to add: I just saw the advertising section.
Have you mass mailed a promotional and advertising email for your site
OP, your willing to work 8 hours a day for free for people who have met you, interviewed you and evaluated you...but you want those of us who don't know you to hire you for pay?
Reminds me of the scene from 'Scrooged':
Bill Murry to Claire: "Claire, Fire these people, they're useless"
Claire: "I can't fire them, they're volunteers"
Murray: "They're volunteers because nobody will hire them!"
My opinion: Don't be a volunteer when it comes to your career.
