<< <i>I don't know, but I'm going to guess that whichever one has the lowest grade is one that you self submitted. >>
And which one do you think that is? >>
I don't know, Craig. To be honest, they both look like very nice, mint cards to me. I would be happy to own either. And if I can take a moment to be candid, after eight years of screwing around with this stuff I've come to the conclusion that the only thing sillier than taking PSA's grading opinion seriously is gnashing one's teeth over their inconsistency.

I hear ya, Guy. However, when there's a 5 figure difference between grades, it's a little more than just inconsistency that I grind my teeth at.
The 10 was sold by Memory Lane just over a year ago for $21,763 plus the 19% buyer's premium for a whopping total of $25,898. I don't know the VCP of a 9, but it's under $500.
<< <i>L 10 R 9, small print dot the S in Brewers keeps it out of a 10 holder >>
Good pickup! However, the discoloration under the B in Brewers coupled with that bottom edge and top right corner on the PSA 10 seem to be enough to have kept that one out of a 10 as well.
I'd prefer to own this 9, but I'd much more prefer to have the $20k for the 10 and buy back a 9 for $500.
I knew the right was your 9 from a year or two ago. Still think you should crack and resub that badboy. Beautiful card...it would be a mid-grade 10 for the '75 set I assume.
Looking for rare Randy Moss rookies and autos, as well as '97 PMG Red Football cards for my set.
I actually just got it back from PSA again, Pete. It was the last time I'll be cracking & resubbing it. I was given the definitive "this will never be a 10 because of PD so stop trying".

What about the apparant dimple on the right side of the 10? Is that just something on the scanner? Looks like a dimple from where I sit...

Sad. The registration alone on yours is 10-worthy...much nicer than the 9. Centering is better too. If yours has a PD, I don't think it detracts from the cards appearance...not enough to knock it down, and not with how strong the other features are.

then get rid of the print dot. i suggest a fine-tipped paint brush similar to those used to paint model airplanes accompanied by some high quality orange paint. if your hand remains steady you might well be in the money. good luck.

Actually Collect Non Sport, but am just so full of myself I post all over the place !!!!!!!
<< <i>Where's the PD? I don't see it anywhere. Your card (the 9) looks perfect to me. >>
only thing I see is the little dot in the upper right corner of the 'S' in Brewers. I don't think that is worse than the faded mark below the left part of the 'B' in Brewers on the 10. You can nit pick any non-modern 10 out there. Craigs would fit in a 10 slab just fine.

It doesn't matter to the grader what any previous 10's look like, he is looking at your card only, and if he doesn't feel it's a10, it won't be. Until you find the grader that does, it's gonna stay a 9 or worse (as you know!)

That might be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. There's no difference in the 'sky' between these two cards.
