Insuring coin collections..........

Has anyone found a really good company that will just insure coin collections for replacement value at reasonable prices , without also wanting your home and car insurance business ? Thanks for any info you can give me on this.

The ANA offers insurance for their members.

i checked into the same thing and found i'm better off in the long run buying a safe of some sort or setting up a really secure closet. i guess it depends how large your collection is.
  • I already have a large gun safe , but guess I'm getting paranoid in my old age , so just wanted to get some insurance , too. I'm not a member of the ANA , but guess I should look into that , too.image

  • For large amounts ($500,000 and up) Lloyds of London is your best bet. If you use Chubb for your home owners policy you can add coin coverage in any amount either as blanket coverage(limit $1000/coin) or scheduled--the rate per thousand is the same. Otherwise, check with your home owner policy carrier or join ANA(membership is cheap).
