If it's PSA 10 I would think the 70 Munson RC would blow those out of the water, 71 Baylor/Baker would too. 73 Dwight Evans is also a good choice. 75 Fred Lynn. All those cards would outsell Mattingly/Clemens 84 PSA 10's by a lot.

I think the answer is Wayne Gretzky. He's not in the Baseball HOF.

I would guess somewhere in the $8-10,000 range if one popped up. Perhaps quite a bit more if the right people were involved. There are 13 PSA 9's that exist and no 10's. There's one GAI 8.5 BIN on eBay for $459 right now. The Munson is a Yankee, a rookie, a high number (702) and it's one of the more popular sets.

You have to compare apples to apples in a reasonable way. A 10 of munson could go thru the roof. A update Clemens 10 is down to way under 1K.

Card year is so important to this disscussion. A psa 10 71 dave conception would go for thousands for sure. he isn't even close to hof status as some mentioned already.

Try comparing in a straight 8 that way population scarcity is partly taken out of it.

Actually, Concepcion is close to HOF status. He compares fairly well with other HOF shortstops like Aparicio, Rizzuto, and Reese. He was a 9-time All-Star with 5 Gold Glove Awards, started for 4 World Championship teams, and spent 15 years on the BBWAA HOF ballot (meaning he drew over 5% of the vote each time).
