I think you're probably right - ya can't teach that "fire in your belly" to do whatever it takes to win, like Jordan had.

Ya either have it or ya don't, and LeBron don't.
  • Did you stay up all night making that? image

A LOT of people leveled the same criticism toward Dirk. Now he is redeemed and all that talk goes away.

The same could happen for LeBron, but he needs a lot more mental toughness. Michael Jordan he is not.

that's a long climb, perhaps he should start with Eddie.

So apparently, he's going to continue to get frustrated with teammates and quit in the 4th quarter? Lebron may be able to afford every Honus Wagner card in existance, but here's to betting that I'm a helluva lot happier than he is right now.

While he may not be russell, wilt, larry, michael, magic or kobe - he won't be far behind them. His overall game is great, but does not do anything the best. I think he will end up being a top 15 player of all-time. That's not to be bad. image

I've seen this attitude since "The decision." People are not just now jumping on the bandwagon. People have been hopeing he fails, wishing he fails, praying to God he fails. Now they are gloating because he failed. I believe Dan Gilbert said right after "The decision" that the Cavs would win the NBA Championship before LeBron does. I sure hope he is right.

BTW I will give this to LeBron. He is right. After gloating last night I still had to get up this AM and go back to my pathetic life.

You are seriously using the fact that people can't see the future as some sort of slight? lol
  • The way he played this series, he just looked tired, bored even. I think the spotlight changing to Wade hurt him emotionally.

Or maybe it didn't. I was first impressed with the way they handled the loss. But then this morning I realized if that was anyone else, they would have been destroyed. To come so far and not make it. These guys are floating on C notes, Wipe themselves with C notes, and blow their nose in C notes. I don't know after you have done what they have, if it really becomes that big of a deal not to finish at the top.

Jordan made great money, but not like these guys do today. 30 million a year... That's 2.5 mill a month or roughly 83,333 a day. "Oh well we lost tonight, but at least we made almost a 100K". Well lets take the next couple months off and spend time with our families and make 6 to 8 million, and we'll try to do it again. That's just their salary. Their endorsements double those numbers...

Money doesn't buy happiness which I 100% agree upon, but those guys didn't seem too upset after losing. Now Bosh he was upset. He has played for a long time.

Bosh has played the same amount of years as LeBron. The difference is he's a basketball player, not a King. Bosh is the only Heat player I feel bad for.

I predict the Heat WILL NOT win the championship in 2012 and LeBron James reputation will be that of a bad guy in the NBA. Oh wait, half of that is already true.

LeBron wants Miami to put some good players around him so he doesn't have to carry the team.

That was not my point. Dirk had a reputation for being a choker in the playoffs, notably in 2006 against the Heat and in 2007 against the Warriors. Now that talk goes away. He was fantastic during the finals and overcame every obstacle he faced. I was rooting for Miami, but I tip my hat to the Mavericks--they wanted it more, and they earned it. Congrats to them and their city.

I'm not a huge LeBron fan, but--just like Dirk--he can learn to finish games and series over time, just like Dirk learned to do. The potential is there--he certainly has the skillset presently, just not the competitive fire and fortitude.

Neither one of them holds a candle to Jordan, IMHO.

Not a hater or a add on. I said after the news conference (full disclosure - avid Laker fan living in NY after 10 year in Los Angeles) Avid Phil Jackson proponent. Actually a huge Shaq fan. Finally understood Kobe after 10 years met him a couple of times. Tireless worker. Taught himself how to shoot in crunch time. Remember 1998 1999 he could not hit a jump shot. I said quote unquote in July that if Boston didn't get Miami LA would. Well Dirk and company did get him. Despite Cuban's bad behavior he is good for the league. Now every Texas team ( disclosure 2 - I grew up in Texas where everything is bigger) all teams have won NBA championships Mav's, Rocket's and Spur's. I was a taker of the league against Lebron.

Remember in crunch time/playoff time it is about hitting the shot in the fourth quarter and playing defense. Who plays defense other than the Spurs.

Congrats to Texas Cuban and the Mav's I have the league against Lebron and still have them against him. It is a team game. All 6 players have to come to play. Next year will be wide open.

    Regards

Miami will not win a championship with their current roster. They would be better trading one of the big three and getting some solid, playoff hardened players. Lebron will never be a Jordan, Bird or Magic, ever, even if he wins 6 rings. The haters are piling on because of the arrogance of "taking his talents to South Beach" and that whole scene.

  • LeBron's attitude in his statement is the same one that went on behind the scenes when he was in Cleveland, that cost Mike Brown his job,and forced Danny Ferry to quit.Only when Gilbert saw it for himself when LBJ left, did he say anything about it.James did the same this year as he did last year.He flat out quit on his team.If he isn't the center of attention he doesn't know what to do.His friends doesn't help either, which are the same ones who talked him into talking Gilbert into giving them "jobs" in Cleveland. He was given the golden key to the golden gates way too soon, which shows why he acts like a spoiled brat and thinks he's so much better than everyone.Bosh will be the one to go if they break them up since it's the other 2 that puts fans in the seats, which might be part of the reason James thinks his stuff doesn't stink. He knows he can act however he likes and people will stay pay the ticket price to watch him.
    I really like serious people.
