Just got back from Giants Superbowl XXI celebration

The show was held at Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus NJ, and was relatively easy to find for someone not from the area. We were allowed to enter at 8am, and were able to see all the items that they had for silent auctions to benefit charity. The reserves were all quite high and I am afraid many did not get any bids.
Breakfast was served, and then the waiting began. I don't think the players came out of the VIP area and onto the stage until after 10, and there were several videos from that year discussed by players and coaches.
Then the good stuff started at noon, players went to well marked areas so fans could get in those particular lines, and it went pretty smoothly. Phil Simms, Mark Bavaro, and Harry Carson got the most attention, and everyone was in a pretty good mood, downright friendly in some cases.
I got Simms to sign my customized Eli helmet, he liked what I had done to it, that I have all 3 Giants MVPs on one helmet. My son had him sign our Superbowl XXI game ball, and he added MVP inscription without our asking. Harry Carson signed my MN throwback jersey, and my son and I went around and got everyone to sign a Proline throwback helmet. I had also brought a case of throwback micro mini helmets and my son went around and got 17 out of 24 signed, no big names on these, but he had fun doing it.
LT did not show, Hostetler could not make it and OJ Anderson was missing. Parcells and Belichik were there, but would not sign. Strahan was the emcee, but refused all autograph requests. We had a really good time, and felt I had gotten my moneys worth and more.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
