US Coins/Foreign Coins or Bullion?

Well, here we are 3 years into this financial quicksand. Some people say we're going over the cliff, currently it's been a slow downward sufocation into the sand. I've never understood the term quicksand or another term, hot water heater. Shouldn't we say "slowsand or cold water heater"?

Getting back to the topic, I assume some of us here on the forum collect coins on the collector side. At this time and place, who is selling and going into bullion? Who is holding and just adding to the stack?

I'm holding my bullion and the majority of my collector coins.

I'm selling extras and coins that no longer fit my interests, in order to fund more bullion and collector coins that I do like.

I've become active in selling my unwanted assets just recently, as opposed to constant accumulation only.

Have been flipping collector coins, primarily gold, for past six years, turning profits into bullion. Worked well so far.

  • I have had the opportunity to pick up some VF/XF $20 Liberties for close to melt recently, less premium than bullion.

Holding what I have, locked up and semi forgotten in my sdb as part of my retirement account.
