1998 topps Gold Label Red Michael Jordan /100

With all of the crazy Jordan prices on Ebay lately, I was wondering how much you think a 1998 topps Gold Red Label Michael Jordan card might sell for? My buddy just busted a case of 1998 topps and pulled one. The card is /100 and looks to be a psa 9 or 10. A Jordan 98 fleer playmakers theatre BGS 9.5 /100 is currently selling on ebay for over 6K. Any ideas? Thanks

I don't think he'd see $6k for it, but low four figures is likely. Low numbered '90s inserts and parallels are huge in the Jordan market; the more unique the better. Red labels are very much like their base counterpart and I doubt they'd draw as large of a crowd.

Honestly you're not even on the same continent as the Playmakers Theatre. That card sells for $2000-3500 raw and the Red label probably brings less than $500. There are a ton of Jordans from the late 90s #/100 that sell for $50-$100, so you can't really compare it to cards from another set and get an accurate reading. I think you're looking at something closer to a 1997 Flair Legacy Jordan or something like that that.

If it's a PSA 10/BGS 9.5 I think you're looking at $700-$1200, maybe $1500-$2k if a bidding war breaks out. BGS Jordan's seem to do better than PSA so I'd send it there for grading then let it fly on ebay .99 with no reserve and hope a few people get into a bidding war.

Thanks for the opinions guys. Jordan 90s inserts are definetely hard to figure due to the die-hard Jordan collectors and the fact that few of the really tough ones go up for auction that often.
