Ever like a coin SO much, that you keep looking at it?

AnkurJAnkurJ Posts: 11,375 ✭✭✭✭
That is how I felt about this Proof IHC I just bought. I kept on taking it out and looking at the colors under light and just stared with awe as to how beautiful it is!

Post a coin you felt that way about!

The more I look at a coin I really like the more faults I find (nitpicky I guess), so I try not to focus on one coin that much.

A few years ago someone started a thread asking about how waterprood slabs are. Apparently he was looking at a coin while in the bath tub and dropped it into the water. image

Better than sitting on the throne and dropping it in. *grin*

I recently got some pretty fun franklin toners that I couldn't stop staring at until...I sent them to PCGS. image

I don't own anything remotely close to this so my answer to the question is NO. image

Do you still own that one?

No, it's long gone. It's the Amon Carter coin, which was most recently sold by Steve Contursi to Cardinal.

I am always drawn to this one. It's not expensive - just a 64 but I bought it in an eBay auction that described it as "almost prooflike" and I have to agree.
