US Mint Set Question

erwindocerwindoc Posts: 5,433 ✭✭✭✭✭
Been looking at buying a mint set run from 68-04 including the 3 coin set from 76 and the 82PD and 83PD gift(souvenier) sets. Called my favorite BM and they quoted me $410, which seemed just a little high. What do you think? Ebay frequently has the 68-98 run for $200, but the 82/83 sets have been pretty high lately and the 99-04 have been 12 or under.

...why not give this place a shot?

Cause I can look at some of the coins, especially the 82/83 sets at the B&M. The BST is a good resource, but my question was primarily focused around the dollar amount for the bunch. Think I could do better on the BST?

I'd snap up the 82, 83 sets if the price is right, they are of interest.

Part of the pricing is that you will usually pay more to have the privilege to view inhand before buying (ie.....B&M vs online)

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
