Connoisseur stay away, I found this in a B&W auction description

'All told, a "low end" specimen in the Proof-65 category, one that the connoisseur may want to ignore, but those buying the number, not the coin, will want to bid on it enthusiastically. Such bidders are by far in the majority, so we expect this piece to bring a nice price.'

I guess I'm out of the bidding then. I might buy a low end 65 coin for a 64 price but...

Do you think they will get enthusiastic bidding with this description? It is a with rays shield nickel.

It may not be the best selling technique but judging from what I read on these forums it's pretty close to the truth.

I've always found that the folks at Bowers and Merena Galleries have a lot of integrity. They're not perfect, but I think they're very good and ethical.

I've always thought that when selling coins B&M was pretty good about descriptions and usually has nice quality for the grade coins. I don't feel the same way about them as buyers of coins though...
