Question about Topps 2011 web promotion(s)

My bride surprised me with a party for my 40th on Saturday. A high school pal gave me back an 85 Donruss George Frazier card I got auto'ed for him in Mesa Arizona Spring Training in 1986 and a box of 2011 Topps cards - which I promptly opened.
On my balance sheet I now have a 1980 Rick Burleson, 1984 Bob Stanley and 1987 Reds Team Leaders. It's nice to know I can have these sent my way any time.
Can someone explain a couple other things:
- What is the Diamond Dig and is it even worth trying to figure out how to get the shovel icon and dig up rings on that grid?
- What are the virtual cards I can download with the other website?
I like this idea and the fact that Topps may be giving away some good vintage stuff (not to me in this case) but don't want to waste too much time on the virtual stuff. Any thoughts and/or experiences would be appreciated.
