What would you do on this international shipping order?

On international items I charge $2.50 for single cards and .50 thereafter. I note in my listing that registered mail may be required for orders over $50.
The buyer bought 3 cards totally $317 and paid immediately (Automatic invoice included $3.50 shipping).
I had never sent to Poland before so I requested that he add $11.50 for registered mail, but didn't hear back, so what would you do and how would you send?

Registered Mail is not a class of mail.
RM is an "additional service."
RM is not a PayPal compliant service to Europe.
Go to the USPS site and look for Express Mail International to Poland.
Should be about $36.00, including full insurance. This class of mail
is PP-compliant.
Fees are cheaper if paid online at USPS.

Shipping to strangers in Europe w/o using a PP-compliant method
often results in bogus INR-claims and lost money.
Frankly, I don't sell internationally. Canada yes, Poland no.
It was a good deal and though the buyer only paid $3.50 in shipping, I certainly wanted to be covered via paypal and did send it via Express Mail at $28ish. The stupid thing was it took as long as 1st class international (9 days)!
Today when I checked he is now out of the USA? How odd?
