Sizing of 1960 Fleer Baseball Greats

Hello - I have a question regarding the size if 1960 Fleer Baseball Greats. I recently won 14 of them in eBay auctions (from one seller with a very good reputation who was selling the entire set in individual card lots). All but 2 of the cards are shorter than Topps cards (by 2MM or less). Is this normal for this issue? If they were all short, I would think that may be the case but two of them are the height of a Topps card. The widths seem normal.

quite typical and at times frustrating when dealing with these cards.....it has prevented me from actively submitting them with a few exceptions, but i would expect some rejections if you plan to submit, otherwise don't worry about it and just enjoy 'em.

I've never had a problem with sizing. They should be the same as regular topps cards. The only card that is usually shorter than the rest is the Ted Williams.

The Williams card is cropped differently, and half of fthe time is smaller.

so YOU got all the good ones!! image

just speaking from personal experience, but i've had several that were sized a bit short, but the cuts were clean....since they were commons, except for a couple tries at an 8, i didn't bother and just sold the rest off raw....i never had any that were too big, though. image
  • Thanks all for the replies. This is a very knowledgable group here. Most of the cards in this purchase are a little short (like I said, 2MM tops) but not noticeable unless measured against other cards.
