Topps gave me the finger, re: Million Card Giveaway

I elected to ship 20 or so of my MCG cards back in February or March or whenever it was. All of them (which were 60s and 70s commons) showed up, with the exception of my "money" card, which showed as "backordered."
This card was my "money" card.

By no means a Mantle rookie, but still a decent card (it's a high number), and for a Yankees fan, I was looking forward to adding it to my collection.
Anyway, I received notification that the card shipped this week.
The package arrived today and this is what I got:
............drumroll............

Wow. There are currently TWENTY-FIVE of the '65 Yankees Team cards on eBay. It looks like they exhausted all possible avenues to fulfill this card, huh?
Dear Topps:

What a load of crap.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

EDIT: About sueing I am sure they disclose somewhere in the terms of the promotion that they reserve the right to substitute another card of their choice as long as it is of equal value in their eyes. Which means any cards that is older than the one you were suppose to get it looks like.
SCAregalia.com - Masonic Regalia & Supply
I forget the exact year, around 1990 or 1991, they had a "promotion" whereby in certain packs they would include a real vintage card. I bought around 5 boxes of I think it was around 36 waxpacks per box, and found not one single vintage friggin' card. I would have taken an old Clay Dalrymple with a pinhole just to get "something"...those cheap bastiges at Topps.
Always buying Bobby Cox inserts. PM me.

I would think so, would it prevail? That's another story.

It was 1991 and they were seeded something like one vintage card in every 10 cases.
I won an autographed Larry Bird jersey about 10 years ago from, I think it was, UD Glass. UD sent me a photo instead, and when I complained, they made it up by sending me a black autographed Bulls Jordan jersey. Too bad Topps doesn't have the same integrity.
BTW, I didn't even try to redeem the 10-12 cards I won - the shipping would have cost three times what the cards are worth.

Yet it sure is racket.
Same here. Best card I have is a 1988 Topps Pete Rose Manager card. I doubt if I elected to ship it I would get it. I already have 20+ of the card in mint condition. Why spend even more $$ for a EX condition card.
