Question about sports jerseys

As I was watching a game last night with my son, we were talking about jerseys. I was pointing out how the teams away jerseys usually feature the city/state where they are from and have their last names on the back unlike home jerseys. The other major sports don't do this but it got me wondering about baseball. I tried looking around but didn't find an answer so figured I'd turn to the wisdom of this board. I'm trying to find out if all current away jerseys have names on the backs and all home jerseys are nameless on the back. I tried checking out some cards for answers but my baseball collection is pretty small. The way the Twins have been shuttling players this year, maybe they should start putting names out there so we know who some of these guys are.

I always thought most teams had names on both jerseys.

In MLB the Yankees don't have names on either jersey and never have, that I can recall.
As of 2010, the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox and San Francisco Giants do not display their players' names on their home uniforms (the Giants did adopt the names in the 1970s, but removed them from the home uniform in 2000); the Yankees also do not display them on their road uniforms. The New York Mets used alternate home uniforms without last names for the 1999 season. The names were returned the next season. The Chicago Cubs did not have names on their home or alternate jerseys for the 2005 and 2006 seasons. The names are now back on both jerseys. The Los Angeles Dodgers did not have names on the back of their home and road jerseys for the 2005 and 2006 seasons. Names returned on both jerseys in 2007.
