Unique?

Pete Athas
Bart Buetow
Carter Campbell
Vince Clements
Chuck Crist

Rich Glover
Dan Goich

The one to the right of the logo I want to say is Otto Brown. I haven't found another one of his signatures to compare it to

The top one looks like it's signed 23 which is Johnny Roland's number - and that's not Roland's signature. There wasn't a '33' on the roster in 1973.

The left one looks to be an R in the first name, and an M in the last name. I tried searching for 1973 Giant's coaches, but couldn't find them. That was my best guest.

Players from the 1973 Roster that were not on the sheet (but could be a mystery signer ala John Johnson) include

82 Gary Ballman
21 Otto Brown
31 Charlie Evans
58 Jim Files
44 Richmond Flowers
3 Pete Gogolak
67 Ron Hornsby
56 Pat Hughes
20 Honor Jackson
8 Jim McCann
64 John Mendenhall
34 Jack Rizzo
18 Eldridge Small
22 Rocky Thompson
Alex Webster - Head Coach

  • John Mendenhall's middle name is Rufus.

I agree that the one closest to the middle looks like Otto Brown's signature.

Thanks guys. I'm pretty comfortable that the one in the middle is Brown. I've never heard Mendenhall referred to as Rufus - has he ever signed/went by that? That'd be a pretty cool variation to add to the mix.....

How can I do that without making it distorted?

I can't imagine your scanned image is actually as small as posted above. Did you scan actual come out that small?
Its probably 10dpi. You need to scan at least at 100 DPI, 300 would be best.

The top is a #3, not a 23. It's Pete Gogolak. The left is definately Rufus Mendenhall after looking closer. The right still looks like Brown; anyway have a different opinion? I tried to get a better scan.
