Question about framing cards

Hi guys, I have a piece of '51 Bowman printer scrap with Ted Williams and Nellie Fox that I want to frame. Due to the oddity of it (fronts and backs printed on both sides!), I'd like to have glass on both sides of the cards. Are there any issues with glass directly touching the cards? Any certain kinds of glass I should/should not use?
I also have a postcard signed by all three DiMaggio brothers. Any glass concerns when signatures are involved? Thanks!

Regarding the DiMaggio postcard. No need it has to touch the glass, just put in a post card sleeve and spend a little money on a properly cut mat and noone will ever know its in a penny sleeve.

Do what I do; all my framed items are HighRes scanned and printed as photos so that I can get cheap frames and never worry about sun or acid damage. And the real items are stored safely.
That may be what you want to consider, that way, you don't have to deal with a 2 sided framed piece.

I have a mat cutter and can cut mats for you, probably cheaper than you can get custom cut elsewhere. Shipping anything 8x10 (great for postcards or 2 card frames) is cheap.
Though, if you can find pre-cut mats at a frame shop, thats even better.

<< <i>just take the item to a professional framer and they'll do it right - it can be expensive to frame stuff the correct way. >>
If you do this, I recommend a Mom and Pop shop, not Michaels or Total Crafts, pricier, yes, but more likely to take good care of your valuable items.
