Very nice strike, but I don't like the way the toning is
traveling in one direction on both the obverse and
the reverse.
The obverse toning looks to be from northeast to
southwest, and the reverse from northwest to
southeast.
As if it was maybe cleaned at some point.
I can't really tell about the luster from those pics.
If you send it in, be sure to drag this thread back
up and let us know how it worked out.

I see no rub - and I think its in the mid MS range 63-64 - its got a FH.

As mentioned, I see no wear either.

I agree. The streaky wood-grain toning pattern looks original to me. Often seen as such on early SLQ's. Maybe the luster is a tad subdued but overall a choice looking coin.
That streaky toning would be the first thing to go if the coin was messed with. I don't think the coin docs duplicate this type of very slow toning that takes decades to form.

Toning seems to be going in the same direction.

i do not like the color, strike looks good.
Your photos of it in the slab show luster. Your original photos didn't show the luster as well.
Great job!!
You don't know how happy I am that I was
absolutely and totally wrong.
I think it may be the first time in my life.
