Certainly a time for reflection and thought. As a Vietnam Veteran (1st Infantry Division), I often remember those I served with back then. Being so far from home and in less than pleasant surroundings is a very tough thing to endure. Coming home is sweet, but not all did so. If you were in the Nam, a hearty "Welcome Home".

If you served elsewhere, or know somebody that did, remember them and perhaps a moment of prayer.

Regards to you who have served!!

didn't serve overseas but was in October 72 - October 74 Fort Polk basic/AIT, Newport Naval Base (AIT - I was a court reporter and that was only place they trained you, all services went there), finally HHC Third Brigade, Fort Hood Texas.....highlight of my time at Fort Hood was our softball team came in second on base which was unheard of for a headquarters company and we were on the tarmac ready to go when the first oil crisis struck......didn't go but were ready to roll.....one of our companies was the famous 2/7th (Custer). AIR CAV!!
