Question about 4 sharp corners

Let's say they list a card for $50. It doesn't sell.

Then they list that same card for $40. It doesn't sell.

What is their next step ? Do they put it in the warehouse ? Do they list it again, and at what price ? Do they take email offers ?
I've never followed them or bought from them.

Thanks.

It keeps going down incrementally until they finally BIN it.

  • I agree with CubsFan. I called them to try to purchase something that did not sell, and they said that it will be relisted for cheaper. They will not sell off the bay.

I like the way they do their pricing. We probably have all seen a card bid through the roof when there are two bidders and go for .99 when there is only one. They start their auctions off a little high and lower them until they sell or sometimes put the card in inventory with a BIN. I watch many cards from them and if they go low enough, I buy them. I often pay a little extra if there's a card I need/want before someone else snaps it up. I appreciate that they do not sell off of eBay. It seems fairer to all of their customers. - Kevin

They will also sometimes relist a card at a lower BIN after it has gone through a couple 30-day cycles with no one hitting the BIN on it.

They do sell off ebay on their own website.

Some inventory is available off eBay via their website (cards they have dupes of) -- but most they'll only sell on eBay.

there have been times that they've listed things that did not sell at 19.99 at auction with a 29.97 BIN

Kind of strange? Any ideas why? Wouldn't they make more if they sold off their website?

I have no idea why they do this -- I think they want the premium a lot of low pop cards have...if they have several of the same card/grade it's probably better to sell off eBay.

There has also been times their cards have sat unsold months on end...

I have to believe that they receive far more purchases on eBay than on their own web-site essentially justifying the eBay fees. I have looked at their web-site occasionally and found it pretty cumbersome with same (or close) prices as on eBay. Far easier to purchase off of eBay.
