Contest for an 800 card box "full" of cards

I need to clear desk space, and, since people seem to enjoy contests, I filled (more or less) an 800 count box with various cards that I have received over the last few years but for which I really have no need. First one to PM me with all the correct answers gets the box (or he/she can let me keep the box and burn it to keep warm). You can also post answers here, but winner will be determined by first correct PM received. There are some chromes, some 70's Topps, some "What the heck is this?" from all four major sports.
I tried to come up with questions that are not all the typical trivia. Answers involve all four major sports in the US.
1. As a warm-up, there are five team nicknames shared by two teams in the major sports. What are the ten teams?
2. There is one player who played for the same MLB team in three of its four different home cities. Who is the player and what is the team?
3. This team has had five home cities and two different team nicknames. What are the five cities and nicknames for each?
4. The NY Giants moved to San Francisco, but to what city did the team originally intend to move?
5. When this team moved, its nickname was changed due to the high crime rate in its new city. What was the team originally known as?
6. Two teams, in two different sports and from two different cities but with the same team nickname, both moved to the same city. What were the original teams?
7. During his playing days, it was said he was the only player in his league who didn't earn as much as his father, who was not a professional athlete. Who is he?
8. He managed a team for about a year and a half, but he never managed them in their home park. Who is he?
9. The making of this movie before a game caused a team to lose a run during the game. What movie, and what happened?
Good luck,
Bob

Kiss me twice.....let's party.
2 is Mathews, but the Braves have only played in 3 cities, so the question is misleading.
1 is the 4 teams listed by Nathaniel and Panthers (Florida NHL, Carolina NFL)
1 Cardinals Arizona, St Louis
Kings Sacramento, LA
Giants NY, San Francisco
Panthers Carolina, Florida
Rangers NY, Texas
2 Ed Mathews Boston, Milwaukee, Atlanta Braves
3 Rochester Royals
Cincinnati Royals
KC Kings
Omaha Kings
Sacramento Kings
4 Minneapolis/ st Paul
5 Bullets to Wizards
6 Cleveland Browns to Baltimore Ravens
St Louis Browns to Baltimore O's
8 Bob Lemon Royals
9 The natural
<< <i>Is it really full? >>
Do ya mean...full, full?
I put question 9 in because I was at the game when this happened. Hint: the game was between the Pirates and the Mets.
Note: In question 2, the Boston Braves started out as the Cincinnati Red Stockings. They moved, and Cincinnati was without a team for a short time. This is why the Braves are the longest continuing operating franchise while the Reds are the oldest franchise.
Second Note: The box has between 700 and 800 cards, including a pack of 1987 Topps which I believe is sealed (I never opened it, anyway.).
So, number 9 is ?
Bosox1976
2. Ed Mathews;
3. Rochester Royals
Cincinnati Royals
KC Kings
Omaha Kings
Sacramento Kings;
4. Minneapolis;
5. Bullets to Wizzards, although they were already in Washington (unless this is wrong);
6. Cleveland and St' Louis Browns to Baltimore;
7. Bill Laimbeer;
8. Bil Virdon;
9. The Odd Couple - somehow it caused the Pirates to bat out of order from their official line-up card.

Great job on getting number 9!!!
I think in Jeopardy, the judges would have accepted the Chicago Packers as the correct answer for number 5.

When I first heard this question about 15-20 years ago, it was 7 teams. Anyone want to figure out who they were?

1. New York and Winnipeg Jets
2. Houston and Edmonton Oilers
What do I win? Perhaps some of those Mets cards.
Great follow-up trivia question!!!

I thought about them too, but the NHL Rockies moved to New Jersey long before the MLB Rockies franchise began.

In the old AFL, the Jets were known as the Titans.
3 different players each played for the same team their entire career, but played for 2 different franchises. First how is this possible and who are the players?

In regard to question 9, the movie "The Odd Couple" contains a scene at Shea Stadium where a triple play occurs. This scene was shot prior to a Pirates-Mets afternoon game, and the scoreboard was filled with the usual in-game information, including the batting order. The movie batting orders, not the ones given to the umpires, remained posted when the game began. The Pirates' players batted in the order posted on the scoreboard. On the second time through the order, a Pirates' batter drove in a runner; the Mets' manager (Wes Westrum?) went to the home plate umpire, pointed out that the batter had batted our of turn, and the run was removed. (Those of us in attendance at the game were not informed of what happened.) Esoteric, but true.
Is one of them Gorman Thomas (Seattle Pilots who became the Milwaukee Brewers)? How about Harmon Killebrew (Washington Senators who became the Minnesota Twins)?
