Claustrophobia in the Merc Registry

CocoinutCocoinut Posts: 2,512 ✭✭✭✭✭
Sheesh! Positions 8 through 15 are really tight in the Merc registry. There are 4 sets with 55% completion, and 4 more that are close behind. I was getting claustrophobia, and had to do something about it. I just added a couple of Mercs that will take me ahead of the pack, if they will just stay put! That doesn't seem like an unreasonable request, except we're talking about the Merc collectors, and they're a very competitive bunch. Looks like it's going to take a lot of additions (and $) to get near that #6 slot, though.

I am at 47% and trying to stay in the top 20. I know I will be bumped down soon from number 18 (my highest rating so far).

Ken, you and the rest of the Merc collectors need to leave the unwanted MS no bands coins to me....LOL...

        3. Jim,
I know how you feel. I've been stuck in the middle of this pack since I first registered my set! LOL
I had to tell my wife that all Merc collectors are devils. That way, when I do something like this (Ken, you didn't tell her, did ya?), I can tell her "the devil made me do it"!!! image

          Ken,
          Did you also notice
this one? I guess I'll put it in my second set 'til the weights take affect and the ms62FB will out-weigh the ms66! Couldn't resist the full bands plus the error! image

edited to change ms 65 to ms 66 (sheesh, I don't even remember what grade I have!) image

          Regards,

          Don:
Very Cool 45P. Will admit I did not see that one. Look at 45P's only once in a while but maybe should pay more attention to them.
With Everyone Bidding on All (Even Common Date) Mercury Dimes it Looks like My second set will not even get any "Sweet Little Ladies" added to it.image
That 24S had the Look I like. If my Set had been missing it you would have got a run for your money in that Auction. Very Nice Addition IMHO. Tough Date to find in that Condition.image

                  Don,

NICE '45-P FB. Congratulations. Wish I'd seen it, but either I skipped over it, or my search failed to pick it up. Guess I'll have to settle for a 66 Non-FB of that date (at least for the time being). I'm hoping for another addition (or 2 or 3) for next week; there are still a few common dates that I need, so maybe I'll get lucky.

Your 24-S looks like a nicely struck coin. Double-congrats!
