Will acetone Clean this Coin up ?

Nice key date but needs some TLC
Acetone ?? MS70 ??
Any suggestions ?

    Acetone, probably not. That just looks like caked on dirt. MS 70 maybe or "SHOUT" laundry prep, Great for organics on coins. No rubbing or scrubbing, use a rose thorn or similar organic to dislodge the crud. A binocular microscope would be if immense help.

    Acetone might take that off. If it's a key date, is it valuable enough to spend 30 bucks getting in NCS conserved?

    Don't deal with it yourself....send it to NCS for the best 'potential' recovery.

    However, given the ~70% Cu content, there may be considerable corrosion under the "crud". IAE, probably a $400-500+ coin if all goes well.
