Looks like a big stretch to link the sale of out of the money calls and China devaluing their currency, could really be anything. Remember seeing an interview with a hedge fund manager a few years ago that they would do things like buying a huge amount of cheap out of the money options that people would see and it would get people speculating that someone had inside info, then the market would move in favour of other positions of theirs.
