<< <i>He may state "Bronze" later on... >>

"Later on"? THe very first two lines of the description:

    (2008 P) Jackson's Liberty First
    Spouse Bronze Medal PCGS MS69RD!!!

How much earlier in the description do you think "Bronze" needs to be noted? The word "gold" in his C&P from the mint's website doesn't even appear until he's told the buyer the item is bronze twice.

<< <i>If he got someone to hit the BIN before they read it all (and I'm sure there are people that do that) then yes I think he is trying to trick them. >>

Since "Bronze" is the fifth word in the description, anybody who thought it was gold didn't read *any* of the description.

But I guess it's the fault of the seller when he clearly explains what he's selling but the buyer doesn't read it and just bids because... well yeah.

Like I said, he says bronze later on. It is not in the first line on what he is selling. I do read the descriptions but there are those that don't. They may be thinking they are getting a quick bargin on the BIN.

Would we be thinking this was ok if it was on the Shop at Home network?

I have revised the listing to help all of you who have doubt. Also, please see our refund policy. Not too many sellers have a money back guarantee. Honestly why would a dealer of 40,000+ PCGS slabs per year stop to try and trick someone on a $345 coin?

There are definitely some problems with fraudulent sellers trying to trick buyers out of their money. Anyone who has done business with us knows that we would rather refund your money and your shipping with a smile instead of having a grumpy buyer. That's the only way you have a spotless record. I don't take offense to the accusations rather I'm a bit confused as to why anyone would have any reason to believe we have anything but an honorable business.

I probably will not stop back in on this thread. Thanks to Lee for letting me know and to everyone for allowing my 2c worth.

    Be well,
    Seth

No- it's in the second. Well before the word "gold" is ever mentioned.

<< <i>I do read the descriptions but there are those that don't. >>

So- the seller is trying to trick buyers who don't read the descriptions by using the word "gold" in his description? Seems a pretty weak argument to me, but if you're looking for a reason to complain, making up stuff about what you think other people (not you, of course) might do will work, I suppose.

You were. You were missing a good eBay seller getting ripped because some people are imagining things that there is no evidence ever occurred.

edited to add... in case nobody has noticed yet, the seller being raked over the coals here has revised the listing linked in the first post to let bidders know that the item is not gold (how this is supposed to help the people who don't read the descriptions is beyond me, but I'm not the one making the argument that the listing is misleading without that disclaimer).

I wonder if there will be any apologies offered?

I see nothing wrong with the listing. It looks pretty clear to me what is being sold with the pictures and description.

I see nothing wrong with this listing. If someone bought this thinking it was gold then they have the option of returning the item.

I don't see a thing wrong with the listings. It's a free market isn't it?

The PCGS slab label clearly states what's inside, and as Seth stated they are hard to come by in that grade.
The folks at coinfame are okay in my opinion as are their eBay listings.

I see no problem with either auction......he does say they are MEDALS and the composition is bronze. He even has in big bold red letters (in 1 auction) the medal is NOT GOLD. Your just looking for something thats not there. Time to move on
